The Glenbeulah (Wisconsin) is now using GovPress!
GovFresh (and GovPress) founder Luke Fretwell and City of Ferndale City Clerk Sam Taylor gave a webinar presentation to the Emerging Local Government Leaders community on how government can leverage GovPress and WordPress to build great, easy-to-manage, citizen-friendly government websites.
Creating an online presence for government can be hard, especially for small cities with a constrained budget. Recognizing this the City of Ferndale, Washington reached out to Luke Fretwell at GovFresh for help. Luke was able to build a custom WordPress theme for local government. This theme means that governments can create their own customized websites for free using WordPress.

GovDesign is offering one city or county a free website redesign on WordPress using the GovPress theme.
GovDesign offers one free redesign of a municipal website, utilizing the GovPress theme and WordPress content management system, to include up to twenty hours of development and content migration. After twenty hours of work, GovDesign will provide municipality with theme files, WordPress XML export, and database export. The municipality can contract with GovDesign for further development and content creation beyond the twenty hours at the standard client rate. GovDesign would love to host and maintain the municipality’s new design under additional contract.
